It is very exciting to me when developers of shareware games still have websites

Wrote about some shareware game developers that still have websites

EDIT: I have added a list at the end of recommendations by other folks

@MichaelKlamerus Also, there's Goodsol still running on exactly the same business model as 25 years ago, still updating the same solitaire game every year. https://goodsol.com

@MossRC Thank you! I forgot about Goodsol and love that they're just kinda doing their own thing and it seems to be working

@MichaelKlamerus Here's one of my favorite holdouts - http://www.windowsgames.co.uk/ - Sean O'Connor made a rather addicting Empire clone called "Mother of All Battles" for Windows 3.0 that is still getting some updates and being sold today! Plus a lot of other small games I haven't tried... :)

@greg Thank you! I'll have to check it out

@MichaelKlamerus This is really interesting to see! One I discovered recently is the website for Bluemoon, the developers of SkyRoads (and previously, Kosmonaut). The site doesn't look like it's been updated since about 2000, but it is still online.

@pulsar I didn't know they still had a site. I love SkyRoads!

@MichaelKlamerus I was just thinking about Hamumu today (https://hamumu.com) who just released their flagship Dr. Lunatic Supreme on Steam for its 20th anniversary.

@AndyHat woah, like literally just released it. I'll have to check it out. Thank you!

@MichaelKlamerus And of course, one shouldn't forget Spiderweb Software (http://www.spiderwebsoftware.com/index.html) who have been updating and remastering Avernum, Geneforge and Avadon for decades.

@MichaelKlamerus Here’s one I came across recently, Storm Impact, the developer of MacSki and other Mac games. They even provide a download in an emulator-friendly format https://www.robotroom.com/StormImpact.html

@robotspacer thank you! These look really cool. I'll have to try them out. Same with the games by the world builder devs

@MichaelKlamerus Oh right, I knew I had more but blanked on them until immediately after posting, of course.

Louise Hope, a World Builder dev, including versions you can play in your browser https://www.lucysworlds.com
Ray Dunakin, another World Builder dev, including a modern Mac remake of one game http://www.semitech.com/marc/ray.html

@MichaelKlamerus A couple that I discovered during various shareware streams:
http://crazybytes.at/
http://junkgames.de/

@lunarloony thanks!

@MichaelKlamerus Found another one - a female shareware developer, no less, and who appears to still be making jigsaw games and things. Very cool! http://www.lenagames.com/index.htm

@MichaelKlamerus Technically, Soleau Software is still online, but they've replaced their index.html and taken down some of the old pages - you can still view soleau.com/newgame.html, but the links to their DOS and Windows games are defunct now. :(

This also reminded me that Soleau had a '93 DOS game called Wordle...

@dabbling_duck yeah I thought about it and didn't for that reason, but maybe I should add it anyway. I played so many of their games
