I never even consider laser eye surgery to correct my farsightedness until it's time to adjust or repair my eyeglasses and I can't see what the hell I'm doing
@flargh I had that same thought once (for my nearsightedness), then after 20 minutes of research decided it'd be a bad idea because apparently the procedure exacerbates dry eye syndrome (which I have).

@MossRC my wife was an optician in another (professional) life and she's talked me out of it because of potential complications and side effects. But man, talk about a business ripe for disruption.
