Pleroma

Still reflexively opening several times a day.

I’ll use the web interface occasionally, but with no good options left I’ll probably never read Twitter like I used to. As an information source it’s gone the way of RSS, overnight.

@retrohistories I'm the same, except replace Tweetbot with Fenix for Android. I've temporarily switched to another third-party app that launched recently, but it lacks a couple of key features I rely on and I'm sure it'll be gone soon too.

@MossRC @retrohistories I used Twidere for years and years...and poof...there it goes.

@retrohistories and for me, a side effect of all of this is that I’m now using rss a whole bunch again

@driph It’s still viable? I fell out of the habit years ago — can’t even remember the apps I used after Google Reader (Feedly maybe, but that seems to be an industry tool now?)

I need to look into this!

@MossRC Yeah, I’m torn between chasing down still-working clients with an indeterminate shelf life and accepting that viable OS-native Twitter is over. (I know the wise option is the latter, but I have very little wisdom.)

@lunarloony I’m curious what the endgame will be of kicking out all the early adopters, high-volume posters and whatever still remains of Tech Twitter… none of whom use the official app.
